are humans just a bit too arrogant in general?
Question by hello : are humans just a bit too arrogant in general? When humans compare their lives to aniamls they ussally say that they are supperior, even if they don’t say it, it is common knowledge that it is written into our genes. But the examples are horrible for the reasoning. For example most people will say stuff like: Humans are the dominate species, humans created technology, etc.First I would like to address the issue with “humans created technology”this is false. Humans in general did not create technology. A hand full of geniuses worked together durring hundreds of years to create end results. Non of us here would be able to make a toaster that works if we were givven a block of metal to melt as we liked and some rubebr. Non of us would be able to come up with a toaster if not given instructions. To create it without even knowing what it was supposed to look like. This does not stop there eaither. An edgucation will probebly teach you how a toaster works. Now think about this, you are completley clueless, a toaster has never been created and you are asked to make one. I doubt any of us would be able to do that. Humans in general have not done amazing things. Mlost of us just leach of the earth.Second, “we are the dominant species”so what? if godzila’s eggs were ot have hached, and we were no longer the dominant species on earth, would that stop us from doing anything we had’nt before? or atleast try?”With power, there is responsiblity” watching spider man tought be that as a kid.you people seem to miss my point. The point that was some how very hard to pull out was that many many many humans use others for their own stat.Having a greater brain, having greater resonablity (same thing) is only used as a value set when comparing to others. This is human pycology. In truth, the difference between reasoning and how far you can throw a rock does not change.thanks for proving my point all of you. I also purposely used bad grammer and spelling to pull all who belive that theoretics should be disturbed by the ripple of communication. Even if that “ripple” changes little from the whole meaning. Now I just feel silly. Best answer:

A handful of the smartest ducks will never make a toaster. A handful of smart humans have made airplanes. that is why we are superior.
What do you think? Answer below!
Humans are the most complex, intelligent and powerful species on earth, and not by a small margin, but by so much that there is nothing even close. Think about it, we could completely destroy the entire planet in a split second if we so choose, and as horrible as that is, it is a simple demonstration of how advanced we are. Just think about that power compared to any other animal. We are also the only species with higher reasoning, and arguably the only species with truly altruistic ability. Arrogant is usually a word to describe one being relative to another, and without trying to sound arrogant by making this statement, there is nothing for us to look arrogant next to. We are the only living things we know of anywhere near our level.
first off we would know how to make a toaster, its called “fire” and humans have been using it to roast and toast various things for millions of years. yet no other animal has yet to accomplish this seemingly simple feat, even after being taught to do so. even the most intelligent of animals are only as smart as a human toddler, and thats at the peak of their learning.granted they have the ability to survive and procreate, but not intelligence per se.also, being given a block of metal and some rubber isnt exactly creating something from scratch.and whether or not you doubt any of “us” would be able to do ANYTHING doesnt affect whether or not anyone CAN or can not do whatever it is you said we could or could not do.I for one CAN do all those things. and so can many more people. but not you. so, you probably wont become representative of the dominant species.
An infinite number of monkeys given an infinite number of typewriters, will eventually write Hamlet … but they still won’t understand it.All Technology, Medicine and Culture throughout history has been created and defined solely by humans. Gotta admit … that looks pretty good on a resume.
Change your question to “Are MOST humans arrogant”You, yourself seem like a person of neutrality.I agree with you completely but there are those like us who don’t claim to be superior / technology creators / godsSo you in fact, you are the arrogant human (s) for generalizing all humans as a whole rather than certain individuals.
Is English your second language? I hope it is.Humans are not superior to animals in every way, but we are certainly the dominant species on this planet. We raise animals in barns and eat them. They are no match for our technology. We can create abstract paintings, build gigantic skyscrapers, and contemplate the meaning of life. We know more about them than they know about themselves. The power of our intellect is simply no match for anything they have to offer. If we are arrogant, our arrogance is justified.
Your spelling is horrible. Try spell checker next time. Makes you seem more reasonable.Take offense? A duck wouldn’t. Why not? Because it has better self esteem? No, because it doesn’t have a complex language structure or the cerebral cortex to process it, even if it did.”Humans created technology” is a statement that humans as a species collectively achieved the milestone of tool making and use. Yes, chimps use straws to fish for termites and Sea Gulls crack clam shells on the boardwalk, yet neither makes durable tools or modifies them to alternative uses. For example an ax / hammer or wedge AND maul.Human Dominance: Godzilla aside, there are all manner of beings great and small able to do harm to the human race. Tuberculosis bacillus or Tigers, Great Whites or Black Widows all can do harm to humankind, yet we managed to devise strategies that permit the typical human to overcome their advantages with ease.Having a human brain is not the same as greater ability to reason.Insanity occurs in humans as does various learning disabilities. The ability to throw a rock is a coordinated effort involving balance, visual processing, muscle control, memory and the ability to anticipate an outcome (where the rock is going, or at least where we intend it to go).Its fine if you like all the life here on Earth. Its refreshing in a way.A naive way though.Be a good stewart of the Earth and encourage other to do the same.Just stay out of the “World Good: Humans Bad” debate till you get a little more sophisticated idea.
